The roots of Vsique trace back to the 1950s, where now grandfather, Chimarlo Biaso, immigrated from Naples, Italy, to Edinburgh, Scotland. With nothing but determination and a sharp eye for style, he began working as a door-to-door peddler, selling bespoke tailored made men’s and women’s clothing crafted by his Indian wife, Sukh Kaur.
Chimarlo passed down not only his trade but also his relentless work ethic to his son, who expanded the family business into local markets across the UK and Ireland. From those early stalls, the business grew into a wholesale supplier serving retailers throughout the UK, Europe, and the US.
Today, the legacy continues through the next generation. Chimarlo’s grandson has now expanded the brand for the modern era—bringing Vsique online with a renewed focus on precision tailoring for the contemporary masculine man.

Our History Our Heritage
1952
Chimarlo Biaso moved to the UK from Naples, Italy and settled in Edinburgh, Scotland. Began his career as a door to door pedlar selling mens and ladies clothing.
1957
Chimarlo met his wife Sukh Kaur who immigrated to Scotland with her brother from India during the disruptive partition period. Sukh worked in a clothing factory producing ladies knitwear and mens shirts and also hand made tailored garments for the local community.
1957-1970
With the skills of his wife and the sales charisma of himself, Chimarlo then ventured into selling tailored made garments including shirts and suits for his customers.
As Chimarlo and Sukh began building their family, Chimarlo also took on the role of mentor—teaching his son the art of being a skilled and respected door-to-door salesman.
1982-1984
Chimarlo’s son began his entrepreneurial journey by expanding the family business into new regions across the UK, with a strong presence in the North West of England and Ireland.
1984-2003
Chimarlo’s son then ventured into trading garments at local markets around the North West and specialised in mens suits and formal attire.
2003-2005
Taking inspiration from his Indian and Italian roots Chimarlo's son decided to focused on the manufacturing process and producing high quality suits. He began supplying businesses and retailers across the UK.
2005-2014
The business expanded to include children’s formalwear, including boys’ suits and girls’ dresses. This growth allowed the brand to enter international markets, supplying retailers throughout Europe and the United States.
2019- Present Day
The next generation stepped in as Chimarlo’s grandson launched the business online, creating a specialised brand division dedicated to modern men’s tailoring. With a focus on the athletic, stylish, masculine man, Vsique blends our heritage and values.
